"The Mission of  Mt. Eden is to be an instrument of Jesus Christ
in word and deed to our community and beyond"

Welcome to the Web home of the family of faith known as Mt. Eden Lutheran Church in Quarryville, Pennsylvania.  We are honored to host you as our special guest today. May you experience the glory of God’s presence as he is revealed through worship, fellowship and  study.

We invite you to come worship with us as our special guests and want you to consider yourself among friends who care when you do.  Join us on the journey of faith, learning, sharing and working together to discover God’s love and purpose for us and all his creation.

As a worshipping family together we are given the mission and purpose to be an instrument of Jesus Christ in word and deed to our community and beyond.  As Jesus commanded: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.”  (Matthew 28:19-20) We pray that we may live up to this great calling that Jesus has given to each one of us as his people, claimed and redeemed through the cross and the empty grave.

A prayer for all -- Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may move every human heart; that the barriers dividing us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease; and that, with our divisions healed, we might live in justice and peace; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen

"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Matthew 11:28
